2020 UNC CAUSE

Join Michael Williams and Charlie Mewshaw, hosts of “Data@Rest,” as they discuss – and demonstrate! - several of the UNC Chapel Hill Information Security Office’s solutions for adapting their existing security awareness programs to accommodate remote work and remote learning. From producing a podcast to conducting their annual one-day SecurityCon, distributing security-focused merchandise, and maintaining their campus-wide Information Security Liaisons program, all aspects of every planned activity of Chapel Hill’s ISO have had to be reconsidered and creatively re-engineered – and a Zoom meeting isn’t always the best answer. This session will include discussion of both the philosophical choices made and the specific technologies employed, including which worked best for UNC Chapel Hill. Note: this will be a remote session regardless of whether UNC CAUSE is an in-person event.
